No navigational help or shotgun passenger (besides Rover) for casual banter or sharing thrills along the way. But when it’s time to sleep, it’s just you, making your VW camper setup simple and peaceful.
Double (2 guests per VW camper)

This arrangement is akin to sharing a hotel room with twin beds. One person occupies the bottom bunk, while the other is on top in the canopy, with each guest receiving a linen packet that includes pillows, blankets and sheets for the bed. We recommend this setup for those comfortable sharing in close quarters, much like sharing a tent while camping. Typically, we recommend double occupancy for couples, close friends or same-sex coworkers.
Triple (3 guests per VW camper)
Accommodating three friends or a family in a VW camper presents its challenges. First, during the drive, one friend is seated in the back, possibly missing out on the front-seat chatter. And when camping inside the VW at night, two guests will have to share a twin-size mattress – so strong friendships are required. We typically advise this sleeping setup for three good friends or a couple with a child.

The sleeping arrangements will typically see the parents occupying the twin bed on the bottom, while the kids reside up top. For the more adventurous families, we offer an outdoor tent setup for two with a mattress, pillows and sleeping bags, allowing your kids the excitement of sleeping outside your VW camper in a tent, under the stars.

The best VW camping setup is what you feel most comfortable with, because nothing beats a good experience with friends or family and the memorable stories that come from it.
