The world-famous city of San Francisco has been in the news lately, and not for all positive reasons. Let our private hosts diplomatically explain this to your guests as we show you the treasured attractions of our town, one we argue is one of the most beautiful major cities on earth. Chinatown, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, Pacific Heights and more — we guarantee, after a weekend with our guides, your employees will feel comfortable and confident to understand the real San Francisco.

- Mosey to the Mission for street tacos or lounge in Dolores Park for a day of people-watching. Visit Alcatraz, Pacific Heights and Sausalito, shop the boutique stores of Hayes Valley and explore San Francisco’s unique neighborhoods as a local. Today is yours to explore.
El Capitan, Half Dome, Tunnel View and more — you may have heard of them; now see them in real life with our knowledgeable hosts leading the way. From hiking the world-famous Mist Trail to summiting Half Dome via the cables, our expert guides can make your guests feel at ease during your Yosemite retreat. Yosemite as an Insider
- Day 4Welcome to Yosemite!
- Next up, the world-famous Yosemite National Park. Your day begins with private transportation across California, while you marvel at how diverse the state is, followed by a local’s lesson on Yosemite: insider tips, history, safety protocol, best hiking trails and more. Have you ever seen the Milky Way on a moonless night? Talk about feeding the soul.
- Day 5Hike The Famous Trails

Then make your way through the San Joaquin Valley to the coastal town of Monterey, where we’ll cruise past Pebble Beach — ranked number one public golf course in the world — before descending on the fairytale cottages of Carmel-By-The-Sea.
Cruise with our guides to see surf towns, fairytale cottages and more as we meander our way down the California coastline. Select the unique experiences you wish to include — from whale watching to golfing to dune-buggy rides along the sandy California beaches and more. Our hosts will create a private corporate retreat to match your budget and educational wishes.
Cruise California Highway 1

Is technology altering society’s mental health? You be the judge as you offer your employees, athletes or executives — even first-time hikers — a chance to see awe-inspiring Yosemite National Park authentically. The original settlers didn’t update their Facebook statuses on arrival. Why should you?
Bootcamp, wilderness hike, stroll in the woods. Call it what you want and our guides will provide your entire Yosemite Offsite infrastructure. Your expert guide, guests’ full equipment setup and private transportation from San Francisco are all included.
Outdoor Retreat from San Francisco
- Day 1Begin in San Francisco
- Meet your private guide to go over your trek, including hiking equipment, safety procedures and to answer any last-minute questions you may have. You’ll soon be without your notifications in a healthy, voluntary way, with comfort and contentment.
- Yosemite National Park
- Arrive in Yosemite National Park to see the main touristy sights, including El Capitan, Half Dome and more. It’ll be your last chance to soak up your cell signal before we venture into the wilderness to explore and hike as the locals do — and visitors of bygone eras did.
- Day 2Hike Into the Backcountry
- Bid the tourists farewell as we journey down the empty trails to pristine areas of Yosemite few ever go. See the secret spots, spraying waterfalls, maybe even a distant bear. With your Yosemite expert guide by your side, the heart-pumping aspects of nature never felt so exhilarating!
- Set Up Your Campsite
- Pop your tent where nobody else is and with no distractions from the internet. Soak your feet in a soothing mountain stream, watch the fluffy clouds float by or get to know your colleagues deeper than the usual surface conversation. The stars will come out tonight, with the Milky Way in full force!
- Day 3Hike an Empty Trail
- Wake to the smell of a tasty campfire breakfast, not an alarm clock, and begin to feel more balanced as you stroll through nature with views you rarely find on a screen. Boost your physical and mental health with a hike to one of Yosemite’s granite peaks; experience the here and now as airplane mode becomes part of your daily life.
- Clear Your Mind
- You’d be surprised how long it takes to disconnect from the normal social media we are used to. Even now as you read this sentence, do you feel compelled to check your email? None of this will be on your mind today as we continue to explore Yosemite.
- Day 4Life Balance
- Today you exit the woods with your expert guide, grateful for the recalibration of your digital world. No email, test messages or social media for a few days and you survived. Do you feel a more natural grounding, a connectivity with those around you? Now you remember what life was like before the internet.
- Return to San Francisco
- Some feelings are hard to put into words, and this is one of them. Disconnecting to connect is truly remarkable when you do it the right way. We’ll grab a bite to eat on our way home, as our autoresponders handle our messages for a few more hours. Ask the Yosemite locals — naturalist John Muir would be proud.
Gather your friends, family or employees together and prepare for a classic road trip, traveling back in time to experience the real California, the way they did in the ‘60s. Your vintage Volkswagen bus, entire camping setup and professional hosts await.
No major highways for you. Instead, you’ll be driving the California backroads, soaking in the sand and the sun as you follow our lead guide. Destinations include Santa Barbara, Monterey, Big Sur and more. As the sign of the times, you’ll be socially distanced in your personal VW bus, with a caterpillar of friends following behind you with the same setup.
Along the P.C.H.
- Day 1Meet in San Francisco
- Meet up with your crew and hop in the driver’s seat of your pristine Volkswagen bus. You’ll be shown the ins and outs of the vehicle, along with a tutorial on the paperwork and logistics of driving these classic cars. If time permits, you can tour a few San Francisco neighborhoods as a way to warm up your engines.
- Day 2Big Sur, Monterey and More
- Depart the City by the Bay and sidewind your way along the Pacific Coast Highway in your train of vintage vehicles. You’ll turn heads as you visit the surf breaks of Santa Cruz, cruise Cannery Row and venture along the famous 17-Mile Drive. Your campsite in Big Sur, under the stars and Milky Way, awaits.
- Day 3Pacific Coast Highway
- Today is your free day to explore California Highway 1. Join our professional hosts for an adventure to their favorite spots, or hang by the campfire with your favorite book in hand. You’ll be experiencing the authentic California, the way they did in the ‘60s.
- Day 4Paso Robles
- Close your pop-top and turn your ignition as we venture toward the Central Coast, an awe-inspiring, yet often overlooked destination in California. Photograph the rolling, grassy hills, kayak amongst the sea otters, or taste a glass of Pino from a local family winery. Why do so many travelers overlook this awesome place?
- Day 5Ojai Valley
- Rise to a home-cooked campfire breakfast (French toast and strawberries, anyone?), followed by a cruise through the fragrant eucalyptus trees of Montana del Oro State Park. Afterwards, we’ll wander toward our next destination, the town of Ojai, to enjoy our last night together away from the noise and mayhem of the interstate.
- Day 6Newport Beach
- Welcome to Southern California as we explore the final stretch of the coastline past Malibu. We’ll stop for lunch in Santa Monica, the ending of historic Route 66, and enjoy our final cruise along the Pacific Ocean to our ending point, Newport Beach. You now comprehend what few people do: the wonder of the golden era of California road trips.
Please do not book flights earlier than 7 p.m.
